Helmdon Reading Group

Helmdon's first Reading Group was established in 1999. The current Reading Group started in 2005.

Our first Reading Group was set up in the village in 1999 but it ceased to meet as numbers dropped off when they moved away or took up other activities. A second reading group began in 2005 and is now fully subscribed.

A book is chosen each month up to two months in advance. We meet once a month in each others’ houses to discuss the relevant book. We usually have wine and refreshments at these gatherings.

If anybody is interested in finding out if there is a vacancy or would like to know more about the Reading Group, or would like to set up their own, please contact Jean Simmonds.
