Friends of Helmdon Churchyard
Friends of Helmdon Churchyard keep the grounds around the church looking their best.
Have you wandered up to the churchyard recently?
You can follow the narrow, mown path between the church and road double bend and you will come to the Garden of Rest where ashes are interred. You will find a seat where you can rest a moment.
Looking down the hill you will see some old graves then further down the hill are more recent graves. If you look beyond the sheep and horses you should see Astwell, and further if the weather allows.
Why not take a walk up there to enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
Who are Friends of Helmdon Churchyard?
The Friends of Helmdon Churchyard is an agency of the P.C.C. (Parochial Church Council) with its own chair, secretary and convener.
Anyone who has an interest in the care of the burial ground is a member but we would like to know who you are. Please get in touch [t.b.a.] if you can help us.
We hope that those of you who do wander into its peacefulness will appreciate the gradual improvements being made to show that we care.
