Established in 2023 to continue the research into the development of the village; looking at its buildings, railways and commerce. Also considering the lives of residents through time.

Helmdon History Group Programme

Tue 6 February 2025 at 7:45pm in the Reading Room.
A talk on how support was provided to the local poor people in the area before the Welfare State.
Ross Vicars will give the talk, drawing on local resources.
Admission free for members of HLHG, and non-members also welcome (non-member’s entry fee £5).

A talk about Helmdon’s website; Past, Present and Future.
 The talk will be given by Danny Moody, our Chair, and also one of the key players in the current Helmdon History website.

A meeting to formally establish the Helmdon Local History Group (HLHG), followed by an illustrated talk by local expert Chris Bazeley on Helmdon’s Railways. All are welcome.
