Police Presentation – Outsmart the Scammers

Protecting Students from Fraud and Cyber Crime

As thousands of students start or return to university this autumn, fraudsters and cyber criminals will be looking for opportunities to exploit the excitement and uncertainty that comes with a new term.

The UK Fraud and Cyber Police have created a guide for university students to help them protect their personal information online, spot the fraudsters and keep themselves cyber safe.

It’s not just students who are at risk from cyber fraud, we all run the daily gauntlet of falling for a phishing text or a seemingly legitimate phone call, having a social media account cloned, or our personal information stolen.

Please join us for a presentation from the Northants Police Fraud and Cyber Team on 7th October 7pm in the Reading Rooms to learn how to stay safe in a rapidly evolving on-line world.
