Annual Parish Meeting 24th April 2024
The Annual Parish Meeting takes place on Wednesday this week (24 April 2024) starting promptly at 7:30 p.m. in the Reading Room. The guest speakers are Sam Simons, Highways Service Manager at West Northamptonshire Highways, and Dave Butcher, Engagement Manager at EKFB (the construction company building HS2). If you are as concerned as I am about the state of the Welsh Lane, the impact of HS2 construction traffic, and the frequent tipper lorry accidents that have occurred over the past six months, then you are not going to want to miss this opportunity. Come along and ask any question you want and hear the facts directly from the people in the know.

The annual village meeting of 2024 was a huge success.
We had 2 speakers that included Cllr Eastwood, who gave the update for the year within West Northamptonshire Council.
Our two speakers were Dave Butcher from EKFB and Sam Simons from West Northamptonshire Highways.
Dave Butcher had given an update in regard to where HS2 were up to. It was explained that Radstone Road is moving along well and in a timely manner. There was a short video clip shared showing how the over pass was going on the A43. This explained that there is a huge pneumatic drill digging holes for the structure that is eventually going to be a bridge over the A43.
Secondly, Sam Simons, from Highways was explaining to the residents about how the budgeting works for highways and how he is trying to recreate ‘fix my street’ to become clear for residents to understand the information. It was also a tool to see when it was reported, when it should be fixed, how high on the priority list the issue is.
Thank you to all residents for their questions for Dave Butcher and Sam Simons and more importantly for your attendance. It is very important to the council that we hear your opinions, concerns and feedback as we can move forward improving the village together as a community.
